Online Traffic: I Want People To Come Back To My Blog

Argh! I did it again. It’s been a week since I wrote my last post on my blog. I keep telling myself I want to write everyday. Just to share what I’d learnt and been through for the day… but I failed. It’s really a constant battle and I often lose. But NOT today. Yay! Today I won this battle.

How’s that related to the title of this post? In order to get constant website traffic to your blog, you must at least blog 3 times a week. If you can blog everyday, that’s even BETTER. And not only that, the content of your blog must be interesting and informative too. If not, no point put stuff everyday if it doesn’t add value or if the readers won’t find it interesting. Common sense, right? Right.

So, that are the two tips on how to get traffic to your blog (which I’m still battling now… hehehe)
Worait, what I’m going to share with you today? Hmmmm… that’s another battle. Hehehe.

Well, let me tell you what I’ve been working on lately. Now, I’m in the business of building confidence. I’d like to spread the news on how confidence is important in order to be successful in life and how we can achieve it. Whatever you do, you need confidence in order to succeed.

I thought I was confident person, but actually I wasn’t. I knew that after I met my boss and mentor, Ernie Chen a.k.a. the Guru of Confidence. He’s a really cool guy. For girls, I think you’d find him cute too. Hehehe… I’ll try to find his picture and put it here tomorrow.

Before I stop, I’d like to ask you… Do you consider yourself a confident person? Why?

What is Your Motivation?

I read Ernie Chen’s blog today, “When Money is a Motivation”. I’d like to share my experience. If you’ve read my ‘Oil Price Ware – How To Win The Battle” post, you’d already know that Money is not my motivation. No. It’s not because I already have lots of money (so don’t waste your time planning to rob me). I chose a much lower salary job so I can learn more about stuff I need to achieve my dreams and to learn it from the best people. Sometimes I compare my previous job to my current job…

Previous Job

Current Job

Work 8-5, 5 Days A Week

Work 9 – 9 (sometimes until 12 midnight), most of the time need to work on weekend.

Salary more than RM6,000

Salary less than RM3,000

Office is 5 minutes from home. No jam.

Office is 30 minutes from home if there’s no jam. If there’s jam it might take to 1 – 2 hours.

One do one specialize thing. Some can be delegated to my subordinates.

Multitasking – Sales, IT, Marketing, Writing, Design, video production, facilitation etc.

Most people would think I’m stupid. But I KNOW I’m not. It’s because I know what I want. I want happiness. I know how my life will end up if I didn’t get out from where I was.

How about you? Do you know what you want? Do you know what really makes you happy? If the answer is no, then it’s time to find out.

Don’t Judge a Book by Its TITLE

Right now I’m reading a book by Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki entitled, “Why We Want You To Be Rich – Two Men, One Message”. I saw this book long time ago at a book store but I didn’t bother browsing through it because… “Why do I want to know why you want me to be rich? I know why I want to be rich!”

Why We Want You to Be Rich: Two Men, One Message

But a few days ago I saw this book in Ernie’s library. If this book is in his library, there must be something good about this book. So, I borrowed it and started reading it. To my surprise, the content is not as I thought it’d be. They actually tell you why you should be rich and ways to get rich.

In one portion of the book, they talked about the impact of increasing oil price. The first edition of this book was published in 2006. They already talked about it two years ago and it’s happening now. I’m sure you’ve heard this before… “The rich gets richer and the poor gets poorer”. With the increase in oil price, there’ll be no more middle class. You’ll be either rich or poor. It’s scary, isn’t it?

But the good news is we can do something about it. And this book gives a couple of ways to be rich. But I think the most important thing is FOCUS. And in this book FOCUS is…

F = Follow
O = One
C = Course
U = Until
S = Successful

Actually my friend already told me about this a long time ago, but I didn’t listen. This is another “don’t judge a book by its cover” story. I’ll tell you in my next post.

So, REMEMBER this. Whatever you do, just do one thing first and do it until you’re successful. That’s one of my problems. I have lots of ideas and I’d start most of them and then lose track, felt overwhelm and did it half way. If I’d just concentrate one project, I’d have been rich and successful now.

So, to avoid being in the poor category, choose one of the ways to be rich and do it until you are successful. For more information, get the book, read it and APPLY it. TAKE ACTION. That’s how you win a battle.

So, please share with me your thoughts and your plans. Let me know which method or which road are you going to choose to reach your dream destination.

Oil Price War - How to Win this Battle

It’s been more than two months since my last post. This is because I’d just started a new and exciting journey with a few great people.

About two months ago, a good friend of mine introduced me to Ernie Chen. If you don’t know him, Ernie Chen is the No.1 Motivator in Asia and he’s also known as The Guru of Confidence. He’s also one of the Finalists in The Firm (1st Season). Finally, I found someone who is not only successful in business, but also in motivating and developing people. Right now you might be thinking, how is this related to the title of this post?

I want to introduce you to my mentor, Ernie Chen, because he can guide us and be our mentor during this economic crisis.

If you know me, it’s very rare for me to recommend anyone or anything. And if you know me even better, you’d realise I’ve been trying to have a successful business since 1998. I’ve failed many times. But now I know with Ernie’s guidance, I will succeed. I will win this battle. Why? It’s because he’s been there and done that.

If you read any books on achieving success or getting rich, you must have at least one mentor (fortunately I have more than one!). It’s not easy to find a mentor that is already successful and willing to share his knowledge with others. So, for me to have more than one mentor is a blessing. I thank God for my mentors and the great people that surrounding me now.

Most people would think I’m crazy. I was a Senior Industrial Engineer. I quit my job, became a service provider to Ernie’s company and am earning 1/3 of my previous salary so that I can learn from him. That is how much I believe in him and how much I want to create a better life for my family and myself.

When the government announced the increase of oil price, did your employer also increase your salary? The answer is NO (except if you are a few of the people who work in Ernie’s company).

Do you think the government will help you to increase your income? Hell No. Is your family going to help you? Most probably not. They have their own family and their own problems. The only person who can help you make more money is YOU.

So, YOU must learn how to make extra money. Who’s gonna coach you? Ernie Chen. Who’s gonna inform you when he’s goin be available to coach you? Chetz Yusof. Let’s repeat it one more time…

Who’s gonna coach you how to be successful in life? ERNIE CHEN

Who’s gonna inform you when he’s goin be available to coach you? CHETZ YUSOF

By the way, you’re welcome (I know you’ll be thanking me later for introducing Ernie Chen to you).

Here is Ernie’s video on Introduction to confidence.

Book Review - The Secret by Rhonda Bryne

This is another book about The Law of Attraction. This book is by Rhonda Bryne.

The Secret

Get The Price and Buy It

In the book, they explain how does this law works and how we can practice it in our everyday lives to achieve our goals. They put a lot of stories on proofs about the Law of Attraction. I tried a few of them like when I wanted to get a parking space. It worked... sometimes. Other time it didn't work because I wasn't "feeling" it I guess. Sometimes it's just hard to have faith.

Anyway, I'd recommend this book. Read it with an open mind. Of course, you can't just think of money and money will come to you. You have TO DO something. TAKE ACTION. 99.999% of the time you have to really work you butt off. If you always think that money will come to you and you accompany that with HARD WORK, something will come to you to help you achieve your goal about money.

If you read this book, I'd recommend you to read The Law of Attraction by Micheal J. Losier also. I think the methods suggested in The Law of Attraction make more sense to me. It's easier to apply.

Applying K.I.S.S. - Keep It Simple Stupid

Welcome to my new blog! I decided to create a new blog because I've learnt throughout this year that...

1. People like familiarity
2. People like simplicity

Don't you agree? I've seen some cool websites but if it takes hours to upload the website, I won't go there. And if the content is boring and doesn't add value to me, there's no reason for me to go there for the second time.

So, here my tips for those who are just started online, Keep It Simple Stupid. You don't have to create the best looking website. You're not entering website design contest.

Focus on your content. Create contents that add values to your readers.

That's some of the tips. Join me again soon.

For Your Massive Success,
Chetz Yusof
